Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)

  • Intended Audience

    The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, to provide first aid in a range of emergency first aid situations. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities.

    Overview

    During this 1 day course, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries.

Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)

  • Intended Audience

    The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, specifically designed for those who are appointed to act as a first aider in their workplace. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide first aid in voluntary and community activities.

    Overview

    Over a 3 day period, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of first aid situations, including: assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, heart attacks, choking, head and spinal injuries, fractures, anaphylaxis and more.

Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Adult Basic Life Support and Automated External Defibrillation & Anaphylaxis (RQF)

  • This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides learners with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in basic life support (BLS) and using a defibrillator (AED) in emergency situations.

    Intended Audience

    This qualification has been designed for people who have a specific interest or responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide BLS when dealing with an emergency situation which may also involve using an AED.

  • Intended Audience

    The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, ideal for those looking to work or volunteer as a first responder.

    Among the first to arrive at a scene, first responders typically include police officers, firefighters, emergency medical services and search and rescue personnel.

    FREC® 3 meets the staffing requirements detailed in the ‘Purple Guide’ for Health, Safety, and Welfare at Outdoor Events and is the only Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCS Ed) – Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care (FPHC) endorsed qualification listed in the ‘Purple Guide’ at PHEM D. It also adheres to the standards agreed by the First Aid Awarding Organisation Forum (FAAOF) and the Health and Safety Executive for first aid qualifications.

    Ideal for those providing event medical cover or roles such as door supervisors, close protection operatives and security guards, as well as those working in high-risk environments including the military, power stations, offshore renewable energy, agriculture and manufacturing settings. 

    For those with further ambitions, this qualification also forms the first step towards a career in prehospital care.

The Qualsafe Awards Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF)

  • This course has been specifically designed to meet the requirements of the Department for Education’s EYFS Framework. 

    This qualification is ideal for:

    • Individuals who have achieved a Level 2 and/or Level 3 childcare qualification, are working within an early years setting, and wish to be included in staff-to-child ratios in line with EYFS requirements.

    • Registered childminders and assistants who are required to hold a current and full paediatric first aid certificate to comply with EYFS standards.

    • Parents, grandparents, and anyone with a non-professional involvement in caring for infants and children who would like to gain essential paediatric first aid skills.

Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People and Adults at Risk (RQF)

  • This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides learners with the knowledge and understanding required to safeguard and protect children, young people, and adults at risk of harm or abuse in the workplace. It also helps learners recognise the signs and symptoms of abuse and understand how to respond appropriately to concerns, disclosures, or evidence of harm.

    Learners will develop an understanding of safeguarding responsibilities, different forms of abuse, and the correct procedures for reporting and responding to suspected abuse or disclosures.
